Entering the Blogging Age

Well, I am finally attempting to do this blogging thing. Most people will probably find this blog quite dull and boring, unless you happen to be a grandparent to a very cute little boy by the name of Myles. My days are filled with an amazing contentment as I play with and care for this child that God has gifted us with. But, to the outside world the details of what new vegetable puree Myles has tried, what sound is Myles' current favorite, the pros and cons of cloth diapering and the like may bore some to tears. On the other hand, maybe the small daily joys and mundane tasks of mothering are a wonderful reminder to live in each moment and soak up all of the details of every day. Or, maybe that is just too deep. Anyways, here is the skinny on this adorable little man. Myles is almost 7 months old now and growing like crazy. When we went to the doctor for his 6 month check up she had to do a double take, and said, "I can't believe that this is the baby that we were worried about his weight!" What a releif it was to hear those words. It seems like he is changing everyday. He is rolling all over the place and is trying so very hard to crawl. But, despite his valient effort he is swimming in place currently. He is starting to be able to sit by himself, a little bit. He is still a little wobbly. He much prefers to stand up. He is ridiculously strong and loves to jump in his jumper. Eric says that he has inherited my love of talking and is well on his way to becoming a "Myles Chatterbox" He loves both kids and dogs. This weekend we saw Cousin Xander, Andrew, Christopher and Hunter at the Wilkinson game night, and Myles was in his glory. He was chatting it up with all of the little ones. He is great friends with Max and Java. He talks to them and thinks it is great fun to pet them. The dogs find him quite interesting and don't know why I won't let them lick him and nibble on his food. I know, I am such a mean mother. As to be expected my days are pretty full, and down time is non- existant, so I suppose I should get some work done during these precious nap moments.

Give Myles a hug and a kiss for me.
